Afternoons in Paris

Now available from and both online and digital booksellers

Afternoons in Paris is the second installment of a new trilogy featuring the adventures of the young Francis Bacon

Afternoons in Paris cover

Francis was having a ball in Berlin, until his Uncle Lastings disappears with fanatics on his trail, leaving Francis broke, homeless and wanted by both the German police and various right wing thugs. Good-bye Weimar Berlin!

Fortunately for a future painter, there's no better alternative than Paris, the City of Light, then at the height of its artistic influence. Francis figures to perfect his French, complete his education, and, if he's lucky, escape with his life.

But complications ensue. After Francis is witness to a political assassination, he takes refuge with an avant garde theater troupe. Safe for a while, he finds himself pursued by left, rather than right, wing fanatics after his Uncle Lastings reappears.
